We walked through flowery meadows.
Which the roads appeared to be straight.
The more I walked it, the more winding the road got.
The more I thought that we were together the more we actually apart.
The fields are beautiful to sight,
The song birds brought much delight,
The sun brought warmth even at night.
Yet no road I followed would never lead to you.
Now I walk these roads at night,
My heart aches when you are in sight.
These kinds of fires do not go out.
They burn cold,
When the warmth is not returned.
So alone at night I will,
Endure it because love is something to never let go.
And in love I will always be.
My heart always be with the One.
How poignantly romantic. Sweet yearning beautifully penned.
