I woke and did not know who I was.
Through the sorrow the rocks of my heart melted into mud.
For a moment I saw who I thought I was.
My lips were moving, but my heart was not.
I built my castle up to the heavens.
Visions came before me,
Truths were told,
But sand was its foundation.
The storm came,
The palace fell to shambles,
However, something came in,
To steal what was left,
To molest what was good,
The worst nightmare came true.
In the ashes,
I sat as blind mute beggar.
No one came my way or turned and looked.
I asked who was my friends, and who was my family?
Yet only one came by, and took me by the hand.
Love was our connection, and love put us together.
Adrift in the open,
Have no eyes that can see,
Have no hears that can hear,
Have no path set before me,
Yet I still heard a whisper of faith.
I stand naked with my arms out stretched muttering the words that I still could.
Waiting for big brother to take my hand.
Waiting for father to turn and see.
Waiting for winds of the spirit to comfort me.
