I awoke,
With rain drops falling,
With eyes that could not see,
With feet that did not know where their going.
A sudden flash broke through the darkness.
Yet had no sound.
I saw reflection of myself,
I saw I was not a child anymore,
I saw I had no innocence, and the eyes that looked back were not mine.
“How did I wake from nightmare, and find myself still dreaming?”
“Is the night endless, or does the worst only get worst?”
A thunder broke through the silence,
Yet sounded more like a roar, and did not make a flash.
I fell,
I fell into mud,
I fell naked with hands lifted up.
“What is it for a man not to see and not have a path set before him? “
“What is for a man to build anything worthwhile if he only has dirt, and with the dirt he eventually bury himself.”
The roar grew louder and glowing eyes looked at me.
Then a rumble that sounded like growl.
In my fear I locked eyes,
In my fear I draw closer,
In my fear I felt a lion roaring inside of me.
“Your iniquitous behavior did not become my weakness, and in your weakness my glory is shown.”
“Who needs good eyes when the heart is sound, and when heart beats true.”
“Does darkness stand in the way of light or does darkness get out of away?”
Lighting clashed and my eyes woke.
I saw a white lion with emerald eyes, and he stared back at me with fiercest ferocity.
I saw the lion with many crowns on his head.
I saw the lion with blood on his paws and on his face it looked like he just got done consuming his prey.
“It is foolish for a man not too fear me.”
“Yet your fear only draws me closer!”
“You have two choices,”
“Consume me and you will become a lion.”
“If not you become my prey!”
