Ends of the sea

Oh, vicious sea.

You sent me to your depths,

Yet your power over me is meaningless.

Your waves crash against everything I hold dear,

But look my heart is still beating.

You sent me to my death at every crest,

Yet I feel the tender kiss of the night sky.

You took my raft, and plunged me into the cold sea.

Left me in the open with no help in sight,

Yet my blood is still warm,

Yet I still tell the moon I love you.

What power does the sea have over the night sky?

What can sea do to the ones who look to night sky?
